• Paraboot has been making hand-sewn shoes in the French Alps since 1908, drawing directly from the Blake-stitched moccasin tradition of American Indian footwear. The Malo carries that lineage forward - a boat shoe built on a traditional last with a slightly rounded toe, constructed using the same hand-sewing technique Paraboot has employed since the late '60s. Made in Spain.
• The upper is rendered in a warm honey-toned suede (Miel-Velours), supple enough to break in fast but substantial enough to hold its shape over years of wear. Blake stitching runs the full perimeter, the interior is fully leather-lined, and the sole is natural rubber - grounded and grippy without reading as athletic.
